For devs getting into building web apps, the walls to entry are massive. To be able to get an app up and running to accomplish your goals and move ahead your knowledge is a supremely important step. We only get motivated to go forward when we get smaller tastes of success along the way. As we build our skills, we learn the best practices, but there are many cases where these patterns are perfectly fine and very useful.
